Choose how hidden posts look
Collapsed to one line that says why, dimmed in place, or removed from the feed. You can always bring a post back. Nothing is ever gone for good.

Scroll like you used to
GoodVibes reads each post as it loads and decides in about a third of a second. Matches are covered before you can read them. No flash, no blank feed.
Topics
Mute the topic, not the word.
Muting the word "election" still lets through the post about who the senate sold out to. GoodVibes reads the whole post and asks one question per topic: is this about that? So "no politics, even from people I follow" finally works.
Eight topics are built in. Yours take one sentence.
Hidden, not deleted
You always get to see why, and you always get to look.

Collapsed
One line, in the site's own type. The default.
Says the topic and the author, so you can judge the call without opening it. Show reveals it in place.

Dimmed
Faded in place, with a line that says why.
For people who want to know something is there. Point at the post and it comes back at full strength.

Removed
Gone from the feed, with a count you can open.
Turn on Show hidden posts and every removed post comes back where it was.
Where your posts go
Yes, it sends post text to a server. Here's exactly what happens to it.

Only the text of posts on screen goes out.
Not images, not your account, not cookies, not where you've been. Posts leave your browser as plain text and nothing else.

A model reads it once and scores it per topic.
The classifier is TypeSafe Jev. It returns a probability for each topic you have on, and that's the whole exchange.

We keep the answer, never the post.
Verdicts are cached for seven days against a hash of the text, so the same repost is never sent twice. The text itself isn't stored anywhere.

Or skip our server entirely.
Paste your own TypeSafe key in settings and posts go straight from your browser to TypeSafe. GoodVibes never sees them, and there's no daily limit.

Reading posts costs us a fraction of a cent per hundred, so we pay for your first 500 every day. Scroll more than that? Bring your own key and the limit goes away.

What happens at 500? New posts stay visible until the count resets at midnight UTC. The GoodVibes panel tells you when you reach the limit, and settings show your usage for each day.
